Art center's regional exhibit seeks photographers' entries



Gender Study by Jessie Street was an award-winning entry in the Pendleton Center for the Arts 2010 open regional photography exhibit.

PENDLETON -- Pendleton Center for the Arts seeks all photographers to participate in this year's open regional photography exhibit.

Participation is open to all amateur and professional photographers 18 and older living in Eastern Oregon and Southeastern Washington.

A special teen category invites photographers 13-17 years old to participate.

Framed entries should be delivered at the Arts Center on April 28.

There will be $1,000 in cash awards. Additionally, the Jacqueline Brown People's Choice Award and $200 is presented to the photographer who receives the most votes from visitors to the gallery during the exhibit.

Laura Moya of Portland will judge the entries, choose the award winners and give a judge's critique at 5 p.m. May 3, prior to the opening reception for the exhibit.

The exhibit runs from May 3-June 30 in the East Oregonian Gallery at the Pendleton Center for the Arts, 214 N. Main St.
