Ashby, is a 6-foot 1-inch, 185-pound, left-hander and a native of McKinney, Texas.

Last season for Baylor University, Ashby made just one relief appearance. This season he has appeared in four games, and has allowed five hits and three runs while striking out two batters over 4.1 innings of work.
