WESTON -- Gallons of bottled drinking water and at least one portable bathroom are part of a temporary fix for nine municipal water customers who had a break in their water line earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Weston Public Works staff investigated a cracked 14 inch water line that hooks up to several residences or businesses just outside the city limits.
City work crews had to dig through concrete to get to the pipe, which was then repaired by welding the crack
After fixing the line, a second leak was detected near a well site at Pine Creek and Lieuallen roads.
A crew with Smith Frozen Foods is currently working on the second leak.
City officials continue to supply the customers with bottled water and portable bathrooms, if requested.
As of this morning, there was no report on when the line is expected to be repaired.
