Oct. 26, 1931 - March 14, 2012
Virginia Grace Taylor, 80, passed away March 14, 2012, at Walla Walla General Hospital surrounded by her family.
Virginia was born Oct. 26, 1931, at the Hot Lake Hospital and lived in Union, Ore. Virginia and Milton "Mick" Taylor were married June 28, 1950, and moved to Walla Walla in 1959 to start their life together. They were soul mates and loved family and friends. They enjoyed many hobbies: camping, hunting, fishing, rodeo and being with family and friends. Virginia was active in 4-H, the Eagles and Elks Lodges and the Alpha Beta sorority, where Virginia was a past president and member since 1955. Virginia was an excellent marksman and taught the art of shooting and hunting to her children and grandchildren. While raising her son and daughter she worked full-time at Sears and Roebuck for 35 years. After her retirement she flagged for John Deere with her husband all over the West Coast.
Virginia is survived by her son, Rick Taylor of Walla Walla; daughter, Sue Proctor of Prescott.; three grandchildren, two of Walla Walla and one of Seattle; two great-grandchildren and a little boy on the way; one brother, Harold Hall of Union, Ore.; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dean and Marilyn Taylor of Walla Walla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton "Mick" Taylor; and many friends. We are sure she is enjoying the campfire with each and every one of them.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012, at 1 p.m., in Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Providence St. Mary Regional Cancer Center through the Professional Funeral Director and Crematory; 2112 S.
