WALLA WALLA - The Walla Walla Gun Club is having its third annual 120-bird Continental Buddy Shoot at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The event is a non-registered event with continental style targets shot from the 27-yard line. Each pair of shooters is allowed up to four shots on each target, with shooters alternating shots. Shots taken out of turn, or more than four shots on any target, or shots taken after target is broken count as lost.
There will be three classes. Youth and women are encouraged to attend. Youth may shoot this event for targets only; the purse is optional.
Shooters may either choose their buddy, or show up and get paired with others who come singly.
Cost is $40 targets, $15 compulsory purse (youth may shoot for targets only). Ties will divide.
On March 31-April 1, the gun club's ATA-registered marathon will be held with up to 500 singles targets on March 31 may be shot, and up to 300 handicap targets on April 1. Trophies will be awarded by class or yardage class for those who shoot the whole program each day.
