Audrey Ione Worden
November 26, 1934 ~ March 20, 2012

Longtime Touchet resident, Audrey Ione Worden, 77, passed
away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at her home on
March 20, 2012. Audrey was born November 26, 1934, in Dunn Center, North
Dakota, to Olger and Mable Nodland Knudson. She moved
to Walla Walla in 1941 from North Dakota and attended local
schools including Wa-Hi. On August 10, 1952, she and Claude
Herbert Worden were married in Walla Walla, then they moved
to Touchet, where they spent their married life together.
Her role as a homemaker was of utmost importance to her.
Her family remembers her good sense of humor. Audrey enjoyed
crocheting, knitting, bead work, dancing, camping, and going to
Wildhorse Casino, Reno and Lake Tahoe.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Karen Nielsen of Walla
Walla; two sons and daughters-in-law: Steven L. and Nicki Worden
also of Walla Walla and Richard L. and Leanna Worden of
Milton-Freewater, Oregon; three brothers: Everett Knudson and
Milton Knudson both of Walla Walla and Donald Knudson of
Oregon City, Oregon; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren
and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by her parents; her husband; her sister, Doris Myrick; and twograndchildren:
Kurt Worden and Heidi Worden.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. to
7:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2012 and from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.,
Saturday, at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military
Road, Walla Walla, Washington. The funeral service will be
at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Gary Benefiel will
officiate. A potluck reception will follow the service at the funeral
home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community
Hospice, Adventist Home Health or Providence St. Mary
Regional Cancer Center through the funeral home. The family
would like to express their sincere appreciation to Adventist
Home Health and Walla Walla Community Hospice for the care
they provided their mother.
