Mary Ann Hopper of Milton-Freewater passed away Feb. 25, 2012, at the age of 66 years. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, at 10 a.m. at the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Milton-Freewater with Pastor Duane Geyer officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in memory of Mary Ann Hopper to a charity of choice in care of the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St., Milton-Freewater, OR 97862.
Mary Ann Hopper was born Feb. 3, 1946, the daughter of Otto and Velma (Theiss) Ehmann in Spring, Texas. She married Gerald ‘'Jerry'' Hopper on Oct. 16, 1965, in Spring, Texas. Following his retirement, the couple moved to the Milton-Freewater area and made their home on Couse Creek Road.
She was a member of the Forks Friendship Club. Mrs. Hopper enjoyed playing cards, baking, making hooked rugs, working word puzzles and jigzaw puzzles. She enjoyed watching football on TV and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Wayne Kleb of Spring, Texas; niece, Leia and Damian Prause and their children Erin and Michael, all of Spring, Texas; nephew, Kyle Kleb of Spring, Texas; niece, Janet and Jay Collins; nephew, Dick and Pamela Hopper; and other relatives including Jeff and Robert Jensen, Teressa Funkhouser, Michelle Potts, Jessica Plaisance; and friends.
