COLLEGE PLACE - A major project to rebuild two of the city's main roadways will be up for discussion by the City Council on Monday.
Council members will look at the College Avenue-Rose Street Reconstruction Project. The entire project will rebuild the roadway from Rose Street and Myra Road to College Avenue, then along College Avenue to its intersection with Lamperti Street and Mojonnier Road.
Issues on the agenda determining financial strategies to pay for construction, whether to proceed in phases or possibly decide not to move forward with the project.
The discussion will include whether to place a general obligation bond before voters or find some other method, or combination of methods, to fund the project, said Pat Reay, city administrator.
