DeSales picks up wins over T-O-R

WALLA WALLA - The DeSales Irish pummeled Tekoa-Oakesdale-Rosalia in a Southeast 2B league softball doubleheader Saturday, 4-1 and 9-4.

DeSales' Ashlynn Lyons pitched both games for the Irish and struck out 18 total while giving up the five runs.

The Irish smacked 18 total hits in the twin bill and Alleyson Lyons had four of those hits.

"For starting four eighth graders we did really well in our first games of the season," Irish coach Russ Vera said. "We didn't hit really well, but we got hits when we needed them."
