Charges added in indecent liberties case

Colton J. Langworthy is now accused of possessing child pornography as well.

WALLA WALLA -- A Dixie man accused of causing a developmentally disabled female to have sexual contact with him while riding a Columbia County Public Transportation bus several times in January now also is charged with possessing child pornography on his computer.

Colton J. Langworthy, 20, of 101 Gilliam St., faces four counts of first-degree and six counts of second-degree possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Those charges are in addition to the six counts of indecent liberties -- physically incapacitated ¬?-- that he initially faced.

Not-guilty pleas were entered Monday afternoon in Walla Walla County Superior Court. A trial date wasn't immediately set.

Langworthy was arrested Jan. 31 for allegedly forcibly molesting the developmentally disabled female on the bus six days during the month.

She had told a sheriff's deputy that a male passenger named Colton touched her inappropriately, according to a Sheriff's Office report filed in court. The crimes were confirmed by recorded surveillance footage from the bus, the report says.

During the course of the investigation, officials obtained search warrants to search Langworthy's computer.

More than 10 images of child pornography were located on the laptop, as well as evidence that Internet websites containing such images had been viewed, according to a supplemental Sheriff's Office report.

Bail for Langworthy initially was set at $25,000, but later was raised to $50,000.
