Rising country artist Kate Turner will play from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Walla Faces tasting room, 216 E. Main St.

There is no cover charge.

Turner grew up in Burbank and is currently recording her debut album.

Following her passion for writing and singing country western music, Turner went to Nashville to find her place in the industry.

"It was the first time I was surrounded by music in that way," she said in a release.

"Music on every corner, a million artists just like me, all working towards the same thing. I realized I was ready to really do this ... and I can hold my own with anyone else in Nashville."

Backed by Northwest musicians, she is gaining the attention of fans along the West Coast with her original country music.

She generated a local hit following a broken relationship.

"Eventually it just kind of fell apart, and so I wrote that song 'Baby No,'" she said. It took off on iTunes and Facebook.

Turner continues to build her her base of fans and calls them her "Dedi-Kates."
