Anniversary Floyd and Patricia Karr


Floyd and Patricia Karr of Wheatland Village will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Wednesday.

The Karrs wed April 4, 1942, at the Rev. Blakeney's Walla Walla home on Isaacs Avenue. Patricia's maiden name is Cockburn.

Patricia was a credit manager for Sears and Harris Oil in Auburn, Wash., Credit Union of Auburn and Rohr Corp. She retired Jan. 28, 1971.

Floyd worked for the U.S. Naval Reserve attached to the Seabees, the Vancouver, Wash., shipyards, Ford Garage in Auburn, Rohr Corp. in quality control, Helix Grain Elevator, Milton Box Factory, Milton Ice and Cold Storage and Milton-Freewater Police force. He retired May 1, 1982.

Patricia enjoys homemaking and is a member of Eastern Star and Ladies Elk Lodge.

Floyd enjoys golfing and fishing. He is a member of American Legion, Elks and Masonic lodges and Machinists Union.

The Karrs enjoy dancing and traveling.

They have a daughter, Vicki Darlene Martinson, of Maple Valley, Wash., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
