Man arrested in drug, unlawful imprisonment, weapons case

COLLEGE PLACE -- Walla Walla County Sheriff's deputies arrested Richard Clodius, 34, Wedesday night after his mother, Vincetta "Jodi" Angotti called police from the College Place City Hall outside phone.

According to a Sheriff's Office report, Clodius had broken all the phones in the house on Gose Street where he lived with Angotti. Angotti also told deputies that Clodius had assaulted her and locked her in her bedroom.

When deputies placed Clodius under arrest he "actively resisted," and attempted to flee into the house, according to the Sheriff's Office report. Deputies later found a .22-caliber, semi-automatic rifle in the home.

Police later also found an empty .22 caliber shell casing and a bag of what appeared to be methamphetamine stuffed into a cigarette packet in his pockets.

Clodius was lodged in the Walla Walla County Jail on investigation of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and unlawful imprisonment.
