Library delves into pop's past

MILTON-FREEWATER -- Hit tunes of 1967 will spin 7:30 p.m. Friday at "Oldies Night at The Library," at the public library, 8 S.W. Eighth Ave.

On the list for this three-hour musical trip back in time are LuLu's "To Sir With Love," The Monkees' "Daydream Believer" and "Light My Fire" by The Doors. Other songs to be heard are Arthur Conley singing "Sweet Soul Music," which hit No. 2 in May, "Good Thing" by Paul Revere and the Raiders from January and "Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead," by the Fifth Estate, from July of that year.
