The first teen Jam Spot, organized by members of the Walla Walla Blues Society and others in the community, will be held at Jacobi's Cafe on May 19 from 8-11 p.m.
"This is a great opportunity for the musically inclined youth of Walla Walla and the surrounding areas to get together and experience many different genres of music," said co-organizer Kari Savelesky. It his hoped the jams will be held monthly.
Teens should bring their instruments. Parents are welcome.
Six adult volunteers to help with maintenance and supervision are needed, as is the loan of a drum set.
