Maldonado brings 10 years of experience to the new business at 2034 Glen Erin Drive.

Portland-based Rodda Paint Co. will host the grand opening of its new Walla Walla store June 5.

The new store at 705 W. Rose St., the former site of Columbia Paint, is one of two expansion stores for the company. The other is in Kalispell, Mont., and is expected to open a week from Saturday. The two stores bring the total number of Rodda Paint retail outlets to 48 across the Pacific Northwest, the company announced.

"Our growth is exciting, and adding the Kalispell store to our existing Missoula location gives us a strong presence in western Montana," said Bill Boone, Rodda Paint's president and chief operating officer, in a prepared statement.. "The Walla Walla store helps fill out our greater Washington market and we will continue to open branches that fit our existing growth strategy and enhance our footprint in our five-state region."

Company officials say the openings represent the company's confidence in the Northwest and a commitment to a strategic growth plan that has included the opening of six new stores in two years. Fore more details on Rodda visit
