LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Bob Cannon is humble and frugal

During an election, you are going to see all three of these individuals running for office.

Those who don't know what to do, those who know what to do but don't do it and those who know what to do and follow through.

Bob Cannon knows what to do and will carry through. Some candidates will get your attention through advertising on signs. Others will promise things at debates that will never happen.

Bob is trying to get your vote by demonstrating how communication, being frugal and hard working can get the job done.

Case in point: when you look around the county, do you see very many "Bob Cannon for Sheriff" signs? No. Bob has spent his own $3,000 dollars on his signs. That is what $3,000 dollars in signs look like.

People have offered to purchase more signs but Bob has refused. Being humble and frugal, Bob will not be hanging any more signs. He will allow no one to pay to put his name on a sign.

As a police officer in Oregon for 33 years, Bob knows how to make a little bit go a long way. He is an elbow-grease, get-‘er-done type of guy. Just exactly what our Sheriff's Office is in need of.

He will run a professional environment where all are valued, all wear uniforms and all answer calls.

Bob is focused, has character and perseverance to follow through and has spent 33 years practicing for this important job.

Please join me in supporting Bob for Umatilla County sheriff. Every time you see a gold and black sign advertising for the sheriff's race, please remember that Bob would spend our tax dollars much differently.
