Two churches offer free soup lunch Mondays, Thursdays

WALLA WALLA - Two area churches offer a free soup lunch as follows: Mondays, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St., the corner of Birch and Colville streets. Interfaith Coalition on Poverty plans lunch meeting Tuesday

WALLA WALLA - The monthly meeting of the Interfaith Coalition on Poverty will be at noon Tuesday.

All people of faith concerned about rising economic insecurity may participate.

The meeting will take place at the YWCA, 213 S. First Ave.

A light lunch will be available and ICP members typically contribute a few dollars to offset the cost. Email June Christensen at jychristensen@pocketinet.com if you'd like to be counted for lunch.
