WALLA WALLA - A pedestrian struck Friday night by a hit-and-run driver is now in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Miguel Jarquin, 22, 1556 Truman St., was struck at the 1600 block of Melrose Street around 10:20 p.m.
According to a Walla Walla police report, Jarquin was found in the middle of the street with a head injury and was unable to talk.
He was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center and later flown to Seattle.
A witness was driving behind the vehicle that struck Jarquin, but was unable to identify the make of the vehicle.
