DAYTON -- Three candidates for a seat on the Columbia County commission will face off in a primary election this summer.
The candidates, Tom Bensel, Anne Higgins and Mike Talbot, are running for the commission's District 2 seat. All have said they prefer the Republican Party.
The primary election will be held Aug. 4. The top two finishers will go on to the Nov. 6 general election. The winner will serve a four-year term.
Due to problems with the Secretary of State's Web site Friday and Saturday, Higgins' name was not included in a story Sunday about candidate filings.
