Unity Church of Peace to hear talk on on kindness today

WALLA WALLA - Unity Church of Peace, 810 C St., will hear Martie Quistberg speak on kindness at 10 a.m. today.

From 7-8 p.m. Tudsday, the Rev. Joy Kachel leads Meditation for Inner Harmony. Fridays at noon, she leads Centering Prayer and Meditation. Meditation is from 12:15 to 12:35 p.m.

Two area churches offer free soup lunch twice a week

WALLA WALLA - Two area churches offer a soup lunch two days each week. The lunches are open to anyone at no charge, as follows: Mondays, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St. Enter from the Birch Street parking lot. St. Paul's Episcopal to present last First Thursday Concert

WALLA WALLA - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St. presents the final First Thursday Concert of the season with pianist composer Kristin Vining. The performance is 12:15-12:50 p.m. June 7. Unity Church of Peace to hold wine-tasting, silent art auction

WALLA WALLA - A wine-tasting and silent art auction fundraiser will be 5-7 p.m. June 9, at Unity Church of Peace, 810 C St. Proceeds will be shared with the Lincoln High School backpacks for homeless youth program, Hors d'oeuvres and a silent art auction of works by area artists and piano music by Candace Rosewill be at the church, complimentary wine tasting will be at 5 C Street Wineries. Tickets are $15 single, $25 couple. For more information, call 520-1915.
