Waitsburg's Lehr wins NWAACC track events

SPOKANE - Waitsburg High graduate James Lehr placed first in the shot put with a throw of 52 feet, 3.75 inches, and the discus at 166-01, at the NWAACC Track and Field Championships at Spokane Falls Community College last weekend.

Lehr defended his NWAACC shot put championship, and was the Washington state Class 2B champion in the shot put and discus while at Waitsburg.

Lehr, a Spokane CC sophomore, is headed to the University of Idaho next year.
