Walla Walla County

David J. Smylie, 44, Milton-Freewater, was sentenced Oct. 29 on one count each first-degree criminal trespass — domestic violence and fourth-degree assault — domestic violence. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 each domestic violence assessment and biological fees, 364 days in the county jail, 358 days suspended, credit for eight days served, 12 months community probation. On Oct. 15 Smylie pleaded guilty to entering and remaining in a building of a household or family member and assaulting a household or family member on June 20.

Samuel Navarette-Aguilar, 40, 1313 N. 13th Ave., was sentenced Oct. 25 on one count second-degree escape. The sentence included $110 in court costs, $197.30 in sheriff fees, $450 in attorney fees, 12 months and one day in the custody of the Department of Corrections. On Oct. 23 Navarette-Aguilar pleaded guilty to escape from prison on July 3, 1999.

Franklin D. Myers, 60, Spokane, was sentenced Oct. 29 on one count violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $25 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fee, 32 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections. On July 23 Myers pleaded guilty to unlawfully delivering methamphetamine to another within 1,000 feet of a school bus stop as designated by the school district.

Donna G. Parkins, 48, 16 Rancho Villa, was sentenced Oct. 29 on one count violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $63.60 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fee, 30 days in the county jail, credit for one day served, 29 days converted to community service, 20 months community custody. On Oct. 15 Parkins pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing methamphetamine on June 7.

JUVENILE CASES

Tess L. Cantrell, 15, 1906 Amelia St., was sentenced Oct. 26 on two counts third-degree theft and one count each, harassment and violation of a protection order. The sentence included five days in the Juvenile Justice Center, six months community supervision, 30 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. On Oct. 12 Cantrell pleaded guilty to taking an iPod on April 7; threatening a person on April 17, violating a protective order on April 23 and taking an iPod on May 23.

Cecillia N. Mitchell, 17, Benton County, was sentenced Sept. 27 on one count first-degree theft. The sentence included 30 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 17 days served, 12 months community supervision, 30 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. On Sept. 20 Mitchell pleaded guilty to taking cash with a value exceeding $1,500 from another person with intent to deprive that person on Sept. 10.

Daisey G. Cleveland, 14, 509 W. Alder St., was sentenced Oct. 26 on one count third-degree assault. The sentence included 30 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 19 days served, 12 months community supervision, 30 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. Cleveland pleaded guilty to assaulting a law enforcement officer who was performing his or her duties on Sept 6.
