KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — A 15-0 run to being the game and 21-1 burst at the outset of the second half solidified an Oregon Tech women’s basketball victory over Walla Walla University here Sunday at Danny Miles Court.
The Owls smothered the Wolves 92-58 for their second consecutive game victory over the Walla Wallans to begin the season. The same two teams did battle here Saturday night and Oregon Tech came away with a 95-44 victory.
Karissa Dixon paced Oregon Tech with 21 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Colleen Hunt added 13 points and four assists, and Kassi Conditt had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Wolves’ Dani Carlman led all scorers with 23 points, and she added a team-best six rounds. Abbey Manzano scored nine points and Giselle Schmitz added eight.
The Wolves saw their record dip to 3-5 with the weekend losses here. They return home to host Northwest Indian College in back-to-back games Thursday and Friday, with Thursday’s game slated for 6 p.m. and Friday’s opening tip at 2 p.m.
Walla Walla is also at home Sunday against the University of Great Falls. Game time is 1 p.m.
Oregon Tech (2-0) travels to Rocklin, Calif. to play in the William Jessup University Invitational facing the host team on Friday and Simpson University Saturday.
