WALLA WALLA -- Police arrested two men this morning after a SWAT raid at the pair's home at 319 N. Seventh Ave.
The local SWAT team executed a search warrant at a small, single-family residence on North Seventh about 8:15 a.m. today.
The team fired a flash-bang distraction device at the front of the home, and another at the rear because serving the search warrant was considered high-risk, according to police Chief Scott Bieber.
The residence was secured a couple of minutes later and apparently no one was hurt.
Police officers then began their search and the SWAT team left within about a half-hour.
Bieber said at the scene that two men and one woman were in the home and were being interviewed.
Two men, later identified as Ray R. Gutierrez, 23, and Rogelio Gutierrez Jr., 27,, were seen being led from the residence in handcuffs and placed in a patrol car.
Ray Gutierrez is being held on investigation of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of cocaine.
Rogelio Gutierrez Jr. is being held on investigation of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of marijuana.
Both suspects have previous arrests for drug related activities, and are known gang affiliates, police said.
