Pomeroy Council members are Dennis Gillis, Donna Hunt, James Fuchs, Alesia Ruchert and Kaye Carlson. With all present Tuesday, the council:
Christmas Parade: Discussed and agreed with proposal from Pomeroy Chamber of Commerce to close Main Street for parade the evening of Nov. 23.
Lighting Project: Heard report from Riedesel Engineering on lighting project. Construction bids will be opened Dec. 4.
Mayor’s Report: Heard reports on Shepherd Foundation funding request; 2013 preliminary budget estimates and public hearing date; RV ordinance revisions; and attorney rate increase.
RV Ordinance: Approved 90-day exemption to RV ordinance for Jill Norris and Kim Fredericks. Unanimous.
Legal Services: Approved contract terms with increased rates for legal services from Ogden Murphy Wallace. Unanimous.
Budget Hearing: Set budget hearing date of Dec. 3.
Duty to Serve: Approved resolution to adopt the Duty to Serve. Unanimous.
County Contracts: Discussed rate increase requests from Garfield County for law enforcement and court services contracts.
Water Study: Approved authorization of reimbursement to USDA of $4,228.26 for water study project. Unanimous.
Reports: Heard reports from department heads.
Bihlmeir Springs: Heard update on purchase of Bihlmeir Springs property from Potlatch Federal Credit Union.
