WALLA WALLA — Port of Walla Walla commissioners will host a public hearing on their draft comprehensive plan Thursday.
The public is invited to testify on the document during a 7 p.m. hearing in the Port’s administrative office, 310 A St.
Those who want to comment can view the draft online at ubne.ws/PXnjJ6 . A hard copy is also available for public review at the Port office during normal business hours.
Earlier this year, the Port hired firm David Evans and Associates to facilitate the development of a comprehensive Port plan. The document is intended to guide the use and development of Port properties; clearly identify the Port’s mission, goals, and objectives, in a concise and accessible manner; and serve as a tool to inform and educate customers, stakeholders, community partners, taxpayers and the general public, as well as to guide the Port’s economic development activities and implementation strategies. Completion is anticipated for December.
