After an inaugural luminary event on Waitsburg’s Main Street last year, organizers are fired up for a repeat.
The second annual Waitsburg Luminary will take place Nov. 19 from dusk to 9 p.m., according to an announcement from merchant Joy Smith, owner of Hugs, Gifts and Collectibles.
Lighted luminaries will be set up along the street and around the corner to U.S. Highway 12, she said. Entertainment and refreshments will be served along the route. Businesses will be open with specials to kick off the holiday season.
The event was introduced last year by Allison Bond and Bruce Donohue in gratitude to their new hometown.
Also that evening, Waitsburg Town Hall will host the community at the annual meeting. Refreshments and cookies will be served.
