EVERETT — Walla Walla Community College’s three-year reign as NWAACC women’s soccer champions came to an end here Saturday afternoon.

Kassandra Blakely’s goal in the 16th minute was the difference as Everett nipped the Warriors, 1-0, in a quarterfinal match at Kasch Field.

Blakely’s goal was assisted by Lisa Echert.

Ironically, WWCC began its season with a 1-0 victory at Everett on Aug. 28.

Walla Walla, which entered the contest No. 3 in the final NWAACC coaches poll, had a four-game winning streak snapped and ended its season with an overall record of 14-3-3.
