COLLEGE PLACE — Walla Walla University won two-of-three women’s home basketball games here over the weekend to improve its overall record to 5-6.

The Wolves twice defeated Northwest Indian College, 81-33 Thursday night and 72-42 Friday afternoon, before dropping a Sunday contest to the University of Great Falls by a 78-41 score.

Rebounding and 3-point shooting were pivotal in all three games.

In Sunday’s loss, however, Great Falls took the rebounding advantage 37-27 and knocked down 11-of-16 3-pointers to outscore Walla Walla 33-2 from downtown.

Taylor Stratton scored 11 points and Kindra Jones finished with 10 to pace a balanced Great Falls offensive attack on Sunday. Lauren Pernu was the Wolves’ scoring leader with nine points.
