BURBANK — The navigation lock at Ice Harbor Dam will reopen for recreational boaters Friday morning, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials said today.
The lock reopened for commercial vessels today after contractors completed work to remove rocks and earthen materials from the downstream approach that posed a potential hazard to vessels.
Recreational boaters can also access the river both downstream and upstream of Ice Harbor from nearby boat launches.
