ANAHEIM, Calif. — Freshman Dominic Lippi was a perfect 5-for-5 from 3-point distance to lead Whitman College to a lopsided 114-68 victory over Bethesda University here Friday in a men’s non-league basketball game.
Whitman shot a blistering 51 percent from 3-point land
Lippi also made his only 2-point field goal attempt and was 2-for-2 from the free-throw line for 19 points overall.
Matt Mounier also made 5 3-pointers on the night and led Whitman in scoring with 22 points.
The Missionaries also forced Bethesda into 27 turnovers and outrebounded the Southern California school 49-30. Ben Eisenhardt led Whitman rebounders with eight.
Josh Duckworth handed out eight assists for the Missionaries.
Whitman is back on its home court today for a 2 p.m. game against Mary Hardin Baylor that is free of charge.
