WALLA WALLA – Police arrested a 14-year-old boy Friday on investigation of first-degree assault and felony harassment after the youth reportedly threatened two adults with a handgun.
According to Officer Tim Bennett, spokesman for the Walla Walla Police Department, the boy was involved in an argument with the two adults, and threatened them with a black handgun in a residence in the 300 block of Grape Street. Bennett said no one was injured during the altercation, and no shots were fired.
The weapon, found following the teen’s arrest in an apartment on Chase Street, turned out to be a pellet gun.
“(It) looked very, very real,” Bennett said, adding the youth was lodged at the Juvenile Justice Center.
