WALLA WALLA — Applicants are being sought for the city of Walla Walla at-large position on the Walla Walla County Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
Applicants do not need to have any specialized knowledge of waste management, but must live within the city limits. The deadline to apply is Dec. 17.
The committee helps develop programs and policies for handling solid and hazardous waste. Committee members are currently reviewing and updating the Walla Walla County Solid Waste Management Plan.
Members will need to attend monthly meetings, which usually last about 90 minutes. Information is available from Melissa Warner, city sustainability coordinator at 524-4549.
