The team:

“Allison (Wujek) is much improved over last year. She’s a lot more aggressive offensively and athletic enough to run the floor. She can cause a lot of problems for opposing posts.

“We’re still going to run and try to score in transition because she (Wujek) can run the floor so well.

“But with her and Abby (Crowley) in the lineup at the same time, we will, in the halfcourt, attack a little differently. We’ll get into some high-low sets to take advantage of our height.

“I think this could be a better offensive team than we’ve had. You’re born with an offensive mentality and I think we have more kids that were born with that mentality this year.

“Ashlyn (Lyons) will be one of our top shooters. (Freshman) Emily Baumgart, (coming off the bench) could be one of our top offensive players.

“I’m concerned with how this team will be defensively. We will continue to press. The nice thing about our posts is that they can run and create some problems (in the press).

“With what we have coming back, I would have to rate us as the favorite (in the SE2B League). It will be interesting to see what happens.”
