WALLA WALLA — Downtown Walla Walla Foundation is looking for a few good pastry chefs, professional and amateur, to enter its sixth annual Gingerbread House Competition.

The event will benefit the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter.

Entry forms are due Nov. 30 and gingerbread houses will be on display Dec. 3-28.

Entries will be accepted for both amateur and professional categories.

The winning professional entry will receive a trophy to display all year; the winning amateur entry will receive dinner for two at The Marc.

The display will be at the Marcus Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, 6 W. Rose St., and visitors will be able to vote for their favorite by donating money.

All money raised will be used to house women and children in crisis in Walla Walla.

Contest entry forms can be downloaded from the Foundation’s website: downtownwallawalla.com or call to have one emailed directly.
