The team:
“Wyatt (Frame) did some really good things for us last year. He’s a good all-around basketball player. We look for him to be the leader this year.
“The guys returning this year practiced against those (seniors) last year. Competing against those guys, adds a lot to their character as basketball players.
“Defensively, I think we’re going to be real good. We’re going to have to work really hard because we’re not going to be tall. We’ll have to out-quick some people and play hard-nosed defense.
“I was impressed this summer with how we handled ourselves under pressure (offensively). We did an outstanding job of breaking presses.
“It will be a tough league again. Our guys are always hard working. We’ll go out and play as hard as we can to get the ‘W.’ If we look at ourselves and say, ‘We gave it everything we had’ and they were just a better team, then so be it.
“We’re going to make teams earn it.
“We’ll be OK. We’re working extremely hard in practice. For us, it’s hard work and defense. Everything feeds off of that.”
