Walla Walla School District facilities topic of public work session


WALLA WALLA — The School Board will discuss and review district facilities during a public work session Tuesday.

The session is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. in the district’s board room, 364 S. Park St. It will be followed at 6:30 p.m. by the board’s first of two monthly meetings. Both the work session and board meeting are open to the public.

During the meeting, Superintendent Mick Miller will swear in new board member Ruth Ladderud.

The board will be taking action on a high school skills center bid; a resolution on Initiative 1240 regarding charter schools in the state; and a resolution on copier rental agreement.

The board will also hear presentations on the results of the state assessment exam as tied to the new Annual Measurable Outcomes accountability program; on Whitman College outreach in schools; an on a Microsoft Award to Madeline Brooks.
