WALLA WALLA — Walla Walla Community College defeated top-ranked Peninsula 1-0 on Saturday in NWAACC women’s soccer.
Amanda Jones scored the lone goal at the nine minute mark on a free kick.
“It has been our thing, scoring on set pieces,” WWCC coach Chad Bodnar said. “It was a great game, we defended well. Peninsula was No. 1 in the NWACC, this is a positive step for us.”
The Warriors move to 6-2-2 on the year. They host Yakima on Wednesday.
