PASCO — Wa-Hi’s volleyball team rolled into Chiawana’s gym to face one of the Mid-Columbia Conference’s top teams, and little mistakes added up in a 25-15, 25-20, 25-16 loss to the Riverhawks.
Blue Devil Torri Crawford had 11 kills in the match.
Sierra Carmen picked up two kills, Kassidy Willard came up with 16 digs and Jamie Quaresma dished out eight assists.
“It’s tough to walk away with that (the loss),” Wa-Hi assistant coach Kim McDaniels said. “Chiawana is the best team in the league, and if it wasn’t for little errors we could have beaten them.
“That makes us excited for district,” she said. “We’ll probably match up with them, and we can beat them. It’s just the little errors, it’s very fixable.”
Wa-Hi, now 1-10 in MCC play and 2-10 overall, host Kamiakin Thursday at 7 p.m. for Senior Night.
“It’d be a good night to get a win,” McDaniels said.
