Pomeroy Council members are Dennis Gillis, Donna Hunt, James Fuchs, Alesia Ruchert and Kaye Carlson. With all present Tuesday, the council:
Street Closure: Approved motion to allow closure of Seventh Street in front of Spinner’s Hall March 8-10 for wedding reception.
Reports: Heard reports on water study project and lighting project. Also heard reports from city superintendent and city clerk.
Lighting Project: Approved motion to authorize Supplement #2 of lighting project, at a cost of $58,000. Passed 4-1 with Fuchs voting no.
Fiber Optic: Approved motion to issue trenching permit to Century Link for Fiber Optic cable installation. Unanimous.
Emergency Services: Approved motion to notify emergency services director that the city will make no changes to the HazMat/SARAIII plan. Unanimous.
Loss Control: heard report from AWC RMSA regarding loss control items.
Lodging Tax: Heard report on Chamber of Commerce billing for lodging tax.
