Touchet picks up first league win


TOUCHET — CierraJo McKeown’s 15 aces, 13 kills and two blocks helped lead Touchet to its first Southeast 1B win of the year Tuesday as the Indians defeated Rosalia in four, 14-25, 25-16, 25-18 and 25-13.

“We started a new rotation tonight, and after a bit of a bumpy start, they came together and made it happen,” Touchet coach April Miller said. “The girls played with their hearts tonight, and didn’t let things get to their head.”

Morgan Downing had 13 assists and seven digs in the victory.

Touchet (1-3 SE1B, 2-7) hosts Colton Thursday at 5 p.m.
