Theft and vandalism reports were filed Wednesday and today unless otherwise noted.

Thefts, Burglaries

CP Police

  • 1000 block of Puff Lane. Residential burglary: jewelry reported stolen.

MF Police

  • 000 block of Huckleberry Loop. Items reported stolen from vehicle.

Columbia County Sheriff

  • 600 block of Lower Hogeye Road, Waitsburg. Theft reported.


WW Police

  • Cherokee Street and Second Avenue, 8:10 a.m., Wednesday. A motorist side-swiped a parked vehicle: no injuries reported.

MF Police

  • 400 block of North Columbia Street, 10:20 a.m., Wednesday. Hit and run crash: no injuries reported.


WW Police

  • Richard A. Caverly, 45, no permanent address given, Wednesday. Charge: investigation of manufacture or delivery of methaphetamine and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

MF Police

  • Tyler Niemeier, 26, Milton-Freewater, Wednesday. Charge: investigation of driving under the influence.
  • Aimee Garcia, 32, Milton-Freewater, Wednesday. Charge: investigation of first-degree failure to appear and possession of methamphetamine.


WW Police

  • 400 block of Woodland Avenue. Vehicle window reported broken.
  • 200 block of East Birch Street. Graffiti reported on fence, written with black marker.

WW County Sheriff

  • Alder and Crescent streets, 2:14 p.m., Wednesday. An on-duty Walla Walla police officer was involved in a minor, two-vehicle collision. Damaged to vehicles was listed as minor, consisting of rubber marks left on a bumper. No injuries reported.
