WWGH 2012 Gala to feature Irish tenor

WALLA WALLA — Walla Walla General Hospital has partnered with Petersen Kolberg Architects to present the 2012 hospital Gala Nov. 10 at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, 6 W. Rose St.

PKA has engaged renowned musician Ronan Tynan to speak to and perform for the Gala audience. The program will also feature a meal and a live auction.

The renowned vocalist, athlete and physician was introduced to international audiences as a member of the Irish Tenors before launching a solo career.

In addition to retelling his compelling life story, Tynan will sing some of his most noted songs.

His story as a double amputee was the subject of an ABC 20/20 profile and BBC documentary.

Proceeds from the Gala will fund comprehensive patient room renovations to improve the healing environment and aid patients in their recovery.

The new rooms were designed by PKA.

The company is also responsible for large-scale construction projects currently underway at the hospital. For more details, see wwgh.com/gala. or call 509-527-8303.
