COLLEGE PLACE — Walla Walla Valley Academy handed DeSales a three-set Southeast 2B volleyball defeat here Thursday.
The Knights won the match 25-13, 25-20, 25-15.
“It was a great effort by the whole team,” WWVA coach Scott Schafer said. “There were times in the match when we got down on runs by DeSales, but the girls were able to withstand the rally and keep moving forward.”
Amy Arnzen had seven kills for the Knights.
Megan Gregg also had seven kills, was 11-for-11 serving with two aces; Helena Brown dished out 20 assists; Caroline Larson blocked five balls; Ashley Serl picked up nine digs; and Hannah Woolever was 14-of-17 serving with three aces.
“In addition to my starters, Hope Heaton had a solid game as an outside hitter,” Schafer said.
The Knights, 6-2 in league play and 8-5 overall, host Touchet at 6 p.m. Monday.
The Irish, 1-6 in SE2B play, host Tri-Cities Prep at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
