College night set for Tuesday at Wa-Hi


WALLA WALLA — Area high school students and their families are invitied to a college night Tuesday at Walla Walla High School, hosted by the school’s Washington State University GEAR UP program.

The free information session will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Wa-Hi Commons. A pizza dinner will be provided for all attendees and the event is expected to end about 7:30 p.m.

College representatives from schools throughout the state and region will be on hand for the College and Resource Fair to answer questions and provide basic information about college.

Three break-out sessions have also been planned to provide information on advanced placement versus Running Start, and how to connect student interests with college and careers.

Washington State University GEAR UP is located on campus at Walla Walla High School, and involves a variety of partnerships and initiatives to support students in college and career readiness skills.
