Biggdaddy's Birthday Bash features blues icon Curtis Salgado

WALLA WALLA — Award-winning vocalist, songwriter and harmonica icon Curtis Salgado will perform at 9 p.m. Oct. 26 with the Alan Hager Duo at Biggdaddy Ray’s Birthday Bash at Sapolil Cellars, 15 E. Main St.

Salgado, winner of the 2012 Blues Music Award for Soul Blues Artist Of The Year, is celebrating the release of his Alligator Records debut CD, “SOUL SHOT,” a mix of R&B, funk and blues.

Salgado began his career as a teenager playing in bars around Eugene. He went on to perform with the Robert Cray Band and Roomful of Blues and then with Curtis Salgado & The Stilettos. He’s toured with Steve Miller and Santana and appeared on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.”

Tickets are $15.
