The Fat Duck Inn is under new ownership.
After seven years, founder Alexa Palmer has sold the business to chef Rich Koby and his wife, Cynthia, according to a recent announcement.
Palmer said she plans to stay in the community and dedicate her focus to her growing guest house management business, Walla Walla Vacation Rentals.
Koby had been chef at the inn, 527 Catherine St., for the past year. His wife brings experience in the hospitality business, too, the announcement said.
“Cynthia and I are thrilled to realize our dream of owning a luxury inn in wine country,” Koby said in a prepared statement. “The ‘Duck’ is a perfect fit for us.”
