WALLA WALLA — Police arrested a man just outside the gun show held at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds over the weekend after the 20-year-old attempted to buy handguns and assault-style weapons from several vendors.
Cager York was identified by an off-duty Deportment of Corrections officer as having an outstanding DOC violation warrant and was reportedly accompanied by another man who was identified as a convicted felon by several off-duty law enforcement officers at the show.
York and his companion reportedly attempted to buy firearms “with no paperwork” from several vendors, including off-duty Sgt. Mike Eggleston of the Washington State Patrol, who was manning a booth. The vendors declined to sell York any weapons, and he was arrested as he was leaving the building.

I think more felons (with warrants) should attend events where local law enforcement officers tend to congregate. For our officers it is so... convenient.
