It seems those who are voting for Rich Cowan and against U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers have not checked all their facts. Here are some interesting facts you should know:
First, Rep. McMorris Rodgers received an award for protecting Social Security and Medicare from The 60-plus Association (2011).
The Washington Farm Bureau awarded her "Friend of Farm Bureau" for achieving an 80 percent or greater on significant legislation identified by Washington Farm Bureau (2012).
She is a strong advocate for our veterans, helping open new clinics in Tonasket, Colville and Republic. She, along with Sen. Patty Murray, fought for our local VA hospital when it needed her most.
Rep. McMorris Rodgers is working to have Fairchild Airbase have the first K-46A tanker. Fairchild Airbase is the biggest employer in Eastern Washington, creating jobs for thousands.
This year she voted on a bipartisan bill to reauthorize HR4970, the "Violence Against Women Act" to help protect women and HR4028 to reduce red tape on small businesses.
Rep. McMorris Rodger is founder and co-chairwoman of the Down Syndrome Caucas.
She has a very good record of defending our Second Amendment rights, thus helping secure all our rights here in Eastern Washington and across the nation.
In addition, I have always known her to be accessible to her constituents, visiting Walla Walla frequently and taking our concerns seriously.
Please vote for Cathy.
